Meet Macy
Lead Teacher
Macy is the heart of the classroom at Hygge Academy—an experienced, nurturing, and highly adaptable educator who brings warmth, creativity, and deep care to everything she does. As our Lead Teacher, she creates a safe, joyful, and enriching space where children feel seen, supported, and inspired to grow.

With a strong background in early childhood education, Macy has led preschool classrooms of up to 20 children, thoughtfully designing lesson plans that support cognitive, social, and emotional development. She has a gift for connecting with each child individually, adapting activities to meet a wide range of learning styles and developmental needs.

Macy holds certifications in CPR and First Aid, and completed coursework in Early Childhood Education at Western Technical College. Her leadership experience also includes serving as captain of her college basketball team, where she developed strong communication and mentoring skills—qualities that continue to shine in her role as an educator.

Throughout her career, Macy has been recognized for her calm presence, gentle guidance, and ability to build strong, trusting relationships with children, families, and fellow educators. She believes in fostering a classroom environment rooted in kindness, rhythm, and connection—values that are central to the mission of Hygge Academy.

Provided flexible support across multiple classrooms, assisting with daily routines, classroom transitions, outdoor play, and individualized care. Helped maintain a clean, safe, and inviting learning environment, and contributed to seasonal classroom decorating and center-wide projects.
Dietary Aide

Delivered meals and provided support with care and attention to elderly residents, ensuring comfort, dietary accuracy, and a friendly dining experience. Built meaningful connections through conversation and companionship while maintaining a clean, welcoming atmosphere.
